{"id":4766,"date":"2018-06-30T13:30:18","date_gmt":"2018-06-30T11:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.villacrespi.it\/the-mountain-between-two-lakes-mottarone\/"},"modified":"2018-06-30T13:30:18","modified_gmt":"2018-06-30T11:30:18","slug":"the-mountain-between-two-lakes-mottarone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/villacrespi.blastness.info\/fr\/magazine\/non-classifiee\/the-mountain-between-two-lakes-mottarone\/","title":{"rendered":"The Mountain Between Two Lakes: Mottarone"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With its 1,491 meters of altitude, <b>Mottarone<\/b> separates <b>Lake Orta<\/b> from <b>Lake Maggiore<\/b>, which is why it is known as \u201cthe <b>mountain<\/b> of the two lakes\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">From the peak, on particularly clear days, it is possible to see <b>seven lakes<\/b> split between <b>Piedmont<\/b> and <b>Lombardy<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A mountain that, till the beginning of the last century, was a place of summer grazing for cattle, scattered with shelters for shepherds, for hay and spontaneous tourists who ventured there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Over the years, thanks to its proximity to <b>Milan<\/b>, Mottarine has become a favorite spot for naturalist painters from Lombardy who \u00ab\u00a0loose\u00a0\u00bb their way as they retrieve rural motifs in person.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is now a place perfect all year round. <b>In winter<\/b>, skiers and snowshoers can take advantage of the ski lifts for a run or two.
