From the peak, on particularly clear days, it is possible to see seven lakes<\/b> split between Piedmont<\/b> and Lombardy<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n A mountain that, till the beginning of the last century, was a place of summer grazing for cattle, scattered with shelters for shepherds, for hay and spontaneous tourists who ventured there.<\/span><\/p>\n Over the years, thanks to its proximity to Milan<\/b>, Mottarine has become a favorite spot for naturalist painters from Lombardy who “loose” their way as they retrieve rural motifs in person.<\/span><\/p>\n It is now a place perfect all year round. In winter<\/b>, skiers and snowshoers can take advantage of the ski lifts for a run or two.
